OUR TAX SPECIALISTS
TORI GRAY, CPA & CEO
Tori Gray was born in North Idaho and grew up here and in Montana. She has deep roots in Kootenai County, with a large local extended family. After graduating from the University of Montana, Tori joined Magnuson, McHugh & Company in 1992. In addition to her consistent focus on tax services, Tori became CEO of the Company in 2011.
She has also been very active in professional affairs, serving in various roles with the American Institute of CPAs, the Idaho Society of CPAs, and the Idaho State Board of Accountancy. Locally, she has served with various civic groups, most notably a long-time association with Sunrise Rotary. In her spare time, Tori enjoys traveling and spending time with family including her husband, his children and grandchildren.
ANTHONY OSS, CPA
Anthony Oss joined Magnuson, McHugh & Company in 2010, after obtaining a BS in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Idaho in 2008 and a MS in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation from Boise State University in 2010.
Anthony was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, where he and his wife are now raising their daughter. He also enjoys challenging friends on the basketball court.
Mike Schaffer, CPA
Mike has a Bachelor of Accountancy, Cum Laude from North Dakota State University. Prior to joining the Firm he served as senior manager in the Tax Department at Eide Bailly LLP, Boise, ID. His professional designations include CPA Licenses in Idaho and North Dakota.
CHRIS HARRISON, CPA
Chris Harrison graduated from Washington State University in 2003 and joined Magnuson, McHugh & Company shortly after. His areas of focus are planning effective tax strategies for our clients, business valuation work and management consulting.
Chris is married, and you will usually catch them biking or running around town with their children. Outside of work and family, Chris enjoys being actively involved in the community through serving on the boards of Dirne Health Center and the North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation. He was a founding member of the Kootenai County Young Professionals and has served on several other boards and community groups.
MICHELLE SCHINI HANELINE, CPA
Michelle is a third generation Coeur d’Alene resident and proudly serves as President of Magnuson, McHugh & Company. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1990, and joined Magnuson, McHugh & Company in 1995. Her current areas of focus include individual and business taxation as well as developing a practice in medical, dental consulting and business valuations. Michelle also has nearly 20 years’ experience in governmental accounting and auditing.
She currently serves as Treasurer of the North Idaho College Foundation. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling and spending time with her husband and children.
STEVE FLERCHINGER, CPA
Steve Flerchinger has been with Magnuson, McHugh & Company since 1980 after graduating from Saint Martin’s College in 1976. His primary charge has been in the audit department but he also has a wide range of client responsibility including corporate taxation, financial statement presentation and employee benefits.
Steve has served as President of the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce and President of Kootenai County United Way. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Post Falls, and serves at his church in many capacities. Steve enjoys fly fishing, coaching Fastpitch Softball and spending time with his wife and children.
MATT PETERSON, CPA & CFP
Matt Peterson joined Magnuson McHugh in November of 2016. He’s a graduate of Master’s College Santa Clarita, CA with a Bachelor’s of Science in business administration with a finance emphasis and received his MBA in accounting from Cal State University in San Bernardino, CA.
He’s worked as an accountant since 2007 and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2010.
He’s the secretary treasurer for the non-profit Treeport EAA, Chapter 1554 and has been named the designated CPA for the non-profit Orange Heart Fund. Matt is also the owner of North Idaho Cider.
With over 34 years of accounting experience, Jacqui has been with our company since 2012. A native of North Idaho, she enjoys volunteering, studying the violin, horseback riding and spending time with her husband and family.
A native of Liberty Lake, Washington, McNett joined the firm in February 2016. She’s been working in both the tax and assurance departments.
She’s a 2012 graduate of the Musicians Institute and a 2014 graduate of Eastern Washington University with a B.A. in business administration with a focus in management & marketing. Her prior experience includes four years at an accounting firm in Liberty Lake.
Nicole Potter, CPA
Nicole started with the firm in November 2017. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. She was previously with an accounting firm in Spokane and has twelve years of experience in tax and accounting.
