Furthermore, several are also fully credentialed in other states in which they have active licenses. In addition, we are a member of the AICPA Private Companies Practice Section, which imposes mandatory peer review on a regular basis to ensure quality control of all members’ accounting and auditing services. Michelle Schini Haneline, CPA
Michelle is a third generation Coeur d’Alene resident and proudly serves as President of Magnuson, McHugh & Company. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1990, and joined Magnuson, McHugh & Company in 1995. Her current areas of focus include individual and business taxation as well as developing a practice in medical, dental consulting and business valuations. Michelle also has nearly 20 years’ experience in governmental accounting and auditing.
She currently serves as Treasurer of the North Idaho College Foundation. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, snow skiing, traveling and spending time with her husband and children.
Tori Gray, CPA
Tori Gray was born in North Idaho and grew up here and in Montana. She has deep roots in Kootenai County, with a large local extended family. After graduating from the University of Montana, Tori joined Magnuson, McHugh & Company in 1992. In addition to her consistent focus on tax services, Tori became CEO of the Company in 2011.
She has also been very active in professional affairs, serving in various roles with the American Institute of CPAs, the Idaho Society of CPAs, and the Idaho State Board of Accountancy. Locally, she has served with various civic groups, most notably a long-time association with Sunrise Rotary. In her spare time, Tori enjoys traveling and spending time with family including her husband, his children and grandchildren.
Anthony Oss, CPA
Anthony Oss joined Magnuson, McHugh & Company in 2010, after obtaining a BS in Accountancy and Finance from the University of Idaho in 2008 and a MS in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation from Boise State University in 2010.
Anthony was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, where he and his wife are now raising their daughter. He also enjoys challenging friends on the basketball court.
Mike Schaffer, CPA
Mike has a Bachelor of Accountancy, Cum Laude from North Dakota State University. Prior to joining the Firm he served as senior manager in the Tax Department at Eide Bailly LLP, Boise, ID. His professional designations include CPA Licenses in Idaho and North Dakota.
Kris Mayhew, CPA
He has been with the Firm since 2013 and has a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in business management from Whitworth University.

Mary Cooper
Manager, Retirement Plan Services
Mary became part of the Magnuson McHugh family in December of 2016. She’s a proud graduate of Gonzaga University with a Business Degree in Accounting. Prior to coming to MM&CO, she was a Retirement Plan Administrator for 26 years with Powers Stromberg Pension Consulting, Inc. in Spokane.
She has achieved the designation of Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) and is a member of the Gonzaga Prep Finance Committee.
Matt Peterson, CPA & CFP
Matt Peterson joined Magnuson McHugh in November of 2016. He’s a graduate of Master’s College Santa Clarita, CA with a Bachelor’s of Science in business administration with a finance emphasis and received his MBA in accounting from Cal State University in San Bernardino, CA.
He’s worked as an accountant since 2007 and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2010.
He’s the secretary treasurer for the non-profit Treeport EAA, Chapter 1554 and has been named the designated CPA for the non-profit Orange Heart Fund. Matt is also the owner of North Idaho Cider.

Nicole started with the firm in November 2017. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting. She was previously with an accounting firm in Spokane and has twelve years of experience in tax and accounting.

Korby Baker has been with the Firm since 2010 and has a Bachelors of Science in business from the University of Idaho.

Tad has been with the Company since October 2018 and comes to the team with over seven years of experience in public accounting. He also has experience in financial reporting. Tad holds CPA license in both Idaho and Minnesota.
His education includes a B.S. in accounting from St. Cloud State University and a M.S. in accountancy from the University of St. Thomas. Originally from Minnesota, Tad relocated to North Idaho in 2017.
He enjoys being involved in the community and is currently a member of Coeur d’Alene Sunrise Rotary, a board member of the Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation and volunteers with Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.
Daniell Alworth
Since joining the Company in 2011, Daniell has been working on her associates degree at North Idaho College and plans to pursue further education after that at Lewis Clark State College. She is a North Idaho native.
Kelly Wolf
Kelly has been with MMCO since 1983 serving a variety of roles, including Network Administrator for the IT department. With more than 30 years in the industry, Kelly has recently joined the small business services department as an Accountant, focusing on bookkeeping and payroll. She has a degree in Computer Programming from Las Vegas Education Dynamics Institute and also attended the University of Nevada majoring in Accounting. Kelly is a certified QBO Pro-Advisor and enjoys volunteering at local community events in her free time.

A native of Liberty Lake, Washington, McNett joined the firm in February 2016. She’s been working in both the tax and assurance departments.
She’s a 2012 graduate of the Musicians Institute and a 2014 graduate of Eastern Washington University with a B.A. in business administration with a focus in management & marketing. Her prior experience includes four years at an accounting firm in Liberty Lake.
